    Rare circular brown wax knight's seal with its original two-tailed parchment attachment, which was used to attach it to the document it once authenticated.

    The obverse is marked with a shield decorated with three escutcheons corresponding to the arms of the Bourbers family. In heraldry, this coat of arms is described as “gold with three red escutcheons,” meaning a yellow background decorated with three small red shields.

     

    The reverse is blank.

     

    The Bourbers family was a line of knights based in Picardy, a region where they were lords of lands located between Amiens and Arras.
