Jacques Rohault, Volume 2 of the Treatise on Physics, 4th revised and corrected edition. Printed in Lyon by Claude Galbit, 1681. Octavo (approximately 15 x 8.5 cm). Full calf binding, spine with five raised bands, compartments decorated with gilt fleurons, title and volume number gilt-tooled directly onto the binding. All edges speckled.
Binding in fair condition: headcaps missing, joints cracked, corners bumped, some material loss. Complete with its vignettes and engraved plate at the end. Some dampstaining and foxing here and there, but the text block is complete, sound, and pleasant to read.
Collection in Montpellier, Marseille, Avignon, and surrounding areas. Shipping possible in very careful packaging.
