Here is an ancient Gelede Yoruba crest mask.
This surprising face with its 2 vampire canines, eyes wide open, bearing on the back a character who stands clutching the 2 horns!
It presents an important old patina of use, a horn is reclouded and a part of the bottom of the right side repaired (see photo 6).

It comes from the estate of a doctor, Dr. Aubes collected during his stay in Africa.
