I propose you this interesting Lega mask called Idimu, it was used for the rites of the Bwami society, these masks were sometimes worn, hung on poles or handled like a fetish.
It is made of light wood, from cheese tree as often the dance mask, it still has its beard, probably more recent than the mask.
Total height 28 cm without counting the beard, small lacks on the edge (see photo), wear, traces of xylophagous, rest of white of kaolin, beautiful and important patina of use inside and outside.
