Mbuya initiation mask representing a human face. The face is crossed out with a broken line symbolizing the eyebrows, and overhanging a upturned nose. The eyelids are wide and lowered. The lips are turned up and show teeth cut into points. The face is surmounted by a headdress with four movable wooden horns which is extremely rare because they are usually made of fibers.
The attributes of this mask relate to the representation of the chief Pumbu (Phumbu): the executor or the executioner.
The sculpture is of a very high quality and is very balanced.
