Bone statue representing a bush spirit. An animal head (monkey?) also in bone has been attached to the rest of the body. The lower part of the statue is covered with red cloth and a leather robe ending in thongs. The whole must cover a magic charge on the front, as we can make out a lump. The leather dress is covered with a sacrificial scab.
The torso is pierced by holes running right through the statue. Did it have small objects hooked into it, or was it the location of a carrying strap?
Bone with beautiful patina, fabric, leather.
Height: 24 cm
