Very nice and original fetish showing us a standing character, legs bent with hands raised on the chest in prayer position. The expression of the character is touching and filled with contemplation. The figure is carved in a piece of calabash and inlaid in a baboon jaw. A cowrie shell adorns each side of the jaw. The bone has a beautiful patina of use and the statue is covered with a very beautiful sacrificial patina. On its back, we can see that the fetish has kept a small vial nestled in the hollow of the jaw.
This fetish is a very beautiful testimony of the Voodoo cult, it is harmonious, very well composed and very captivating!
