Huge slit drum collected on Ambrym Island in the Vanuatu archipelago. The breadfruit slit drums of Ambrym Island are still used today to communicate within the villages and to give rhythm to the traditional dances on the dance floor called "Nasara". These majestic forms, typical of the island of Ambrym, make these totem drums one of the strong symbols of this region of the South Pacific. Evocation of curved teeth of pigs (symbol of prosperity) under this stylized face. This totem pole sculpture can be exhibited outdoors as well as indoors (see photos of examples). Consult us for an indoor exhibition for the base. Delivery charges: France 200€ / EU 500€ / USA 1000€.
