China, 1930s, very pretty and unusual sculpture made from a large piece of bamboo representing a junk on which six characters are visible (one of whom is lying on the roof of the boat...), hats and all the accessories useful for the navigation of this boat. The finesse of the details is accentuated by the multiple openings made by the sculptor, highlighting each element.
The beautiful honey-colored patina obtained after several decades of existence underlines the aesthetics of this piece.
Length 21.5 cm. Height 9.1 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to everyone.
Good condition except for slight normal wear and tear.
