Mario Bonamici, painter born in Paris in 1912 and deceased in Lausanne in 2002. Born into a family of Italian painters, whose parents arrived in France in 1910, Mario Bonamici was introduced to drawing and painting at a very early age. He attended the École des Arts Décoratifs from the age of sixteen and began his career as an illustrator in the renowned Jarach et Chambry studio. He frequented the worlds of fashion, theater, and film. His brilliant drawing skills were noted, and he devoted part of his professional life in France and Switzerland as a fashion designer alongside his career as a painter.
This beautiful work, a richly colorful oil on panel from the 1970s, is dedicated to Venice.
The artist's signature is located lower right.
