Superb sewing kit from the beginning of the 19th century
in 18K solid GOLD.
In a case covered in red morocco,
Circa 1830.
The tools are all hallmarked with the GOLD “ram’s head” guarantee hallmark.
The needle case, very rare, takes the form of a woman's bust from Greek or Roman antiquity (weight: 6 grams, size: 7.8 cm).
The scissors (branches or steel blades weigh 10.75 grams), the needle case are in superb condition.
The bottle has a small solid gold cap also hallmarked with a ram's head. The cap screws on well. The inner cap is missing.
The die has a slot, it is also gold (weight 3.7 grams).
The lace-passing needle also serves as an ear pick (weight 1.1 grams, size 6.2 cm)
