Marine case in burr veneer decorated with brass reinforcements, cartouche without monogram. Beautiful model flanked by 2 retractable handles and a high-security trefle lock. Empire period work in the style of Martin Guillaume Biennais, late Empire in the 1810s.

The corner reinforcements in cladding are intended to make the box more resistant to falls caused by rolling on a ship at sea. A refined object adapted to the daily life of a gentleman naval officer.

Very good condition, cleaned and revived by our cabinetmaker. No accidents, original key and working lock.
