This adorable little scent box contains a set of four cut crystal perfume bottles fitted with silver stoppers, it is complete and has retained its cup, its funnel and its small tumbler. The set bears the hallmarks of the city of Paris, a small hen's head which is the discharge for small gold and silver works from 1750 to 1756 and a countermarked man's slipper for Paris from 1774 to 1780. The interior is covered with original blue silk, a small cushion covers the whole and the lid is fitted with a mirror. The box is painted in red monochrome with a gallant scene on the top and landscapes around the edge, it has retained its key but the border painted in imitation of aventurine is very worn and a small accident should be reported to the silver frame of a bottle.
