This charming little trapezoidal box is a sewing kit, it includes a thimble, a pair of scissors, a punch and a needle holder, only the needle is missing, all is in vermeil and for the tips of the scissors and the punch in polished steel. They are contained in an ebony case lined with a beige silk. In exceptional condition (perfect gilding) these small objects are in silver vermeil, embossed and chased with arabesques, flowers and leaves, curves and counter curves. The lid is inlaid in the center of a small escutcheon intended to receive the initials of its owner.
