An elegant pair of gilt bronze candlesticks, signed by Victor Raulin (1867-1925), a French master bronze caster, dating from the late 19th century. In the Louis XV Rococo style, they feature superb, undulating stems in the form of twisted plant stalks, adorned with finely chased foliage and surmounted by flower-shaped candle holders. The openwork bases, richly decorated with scrolls and rocaille motifs, demonstrate fine casting and chasing work. Signed "RAULIN" under the base. Beautifully executed with an elegant gilt finish and antique patina.
