Camille Raymond Fauré (1874-1956) is a French enameler artist, born on November 16, 1874, in Périgueux, and died on October 7, 1956, in Limoges. He is best known for his enamel designs for companies producing Limoges porcelain. Floral and figurative patterns in richly enameled colors are his signature.
The vase is ball-shaped and decorated with flowers adjoined to each other in pink and red colors on a deteriorating background; light blue color towards the collar and up to earthy green colors towards the base to create a ground impression. Enamel proof of Limoges polychrome on brass core, very demanding techniques of which Fauré had the know-how.
The vase is signed with gold «C. Fauré Limoges France» and labeled on the base «EMAUX DE LIMOGES PAR C. FAURE».
