Two charming subjects, these two bookends from the "30's" in patinated regul representing a pair of dogs answering each other in symmetry of two dogs attached by the collar to the barrier. Standing on a beautiful dark pink veined marble with a lovely patina, these amusing subjects are in good condition and represent a whole era of turn-of-the-century decoration, when bookends were at their height. Ideal for decoration, but also useful for displaying books.
