    Pair of bronze and wrought-iron "marmousets" (grotesque characters disguised as kings) andirons, the bases adorned with busts of women resting on ring-shaped irons.
    Height: 38 cm - Length: 50 cm - Width: 20cm
    Dating: Louis XIV period, circa 1700.
    Condition: splendid condition for these andirons, all original.
    See the wrought-iron mounts, the large screw thread on forged ingots. The iron trestles, which support the logs, a little worn at the end by time and fire, have been home-made by the previous owner.
