An elegant inkwell with a richly chased and gilded bronze mount in the Rococo style, surrounding a coral-ground lacquer panel decorated with branches and birds, and a porcelain inkwell with flowers. A highly decorative object in the Louis XV style, made during the reign of Napoleon III, retaining its original patina with wear and minor losses. A beautiful piece mounted in the 18th-century style.
