Beautiful writing desk in Rio Rosewood, Macassar Ebony and Blond Mahogany signed "Pearce Maker 77 Cornhill London" on an ivory plaque.
Rectangular in shape, this box is inlaid on the top and front with a mother-of-pearl coat of arms. Each side is also underlined by a mother-of-pearl thread.
The lock and its clover-headed key are genuine and work perfectly.
Once opened, the box unfolds forming a writing desk. The Macassar ebony and blond mahogany interior is covered with green leather in the center. This one is embellished with cold vignettes and golden vignettes. Equipped with tabs at the top and bottom, these allow the opening of two storage compartments in blond mahogany. The lower one closes with two small brass pushers.
The upper part of this hollowed-out ebony correspondence box is rich in small compartments allowing the transport of pencils and various objects.
