Planter with a moved form, opening on the top by a lid with rounded lines, in Cedar veneer. It is mounted on a plate of Porcelain with a dominant pink color, decorated in the center with a profile of a soldier Antique, and on its circumference of a colored frieze. Two handles in cut Bronze allow to remove this tray and to discover a bare compartment, of 12 cm of depth, lined with an openwork Gallery. One can install a plant, a rosebush, or other more unexpected objects, such as jewelry or fruit, if one chooses to divert this Jardinière from its initial function.
Its belt with four curved sides is decorated on the front and back with a scene of Putti leaning against a coat of arms, encircled by a beaded frieze.
The whole rests on four legs in blackened wood generously arched. It is embellished in the upper part of Bronzes representing birds with spread wings on leafy falls. Ornaments of the same precious alloy decorate the hollow of these four legs ending with Sabots. We note the presence of fine chains suspended between the bronzes, bringing lightness to this decorative furniture already full of finesse.
These four uprights are connected by a crotch shelf in the center of which sits a high Bronze Vase. The sides of this tray are concave and its edges adorned with a chased brass band.
