Temple finial (Faïteau) said to be, according to interpretation, "Garuda" (Sanskrit: Eagle), mount of the god Vishnu or "Hong/Hamsa" (Thai: Hong /Sanskrit: Hamsa) featuring the mythical bird or swan, animal vehicle (vâhana) of the god Brahma. Beautiful original patina, vestige of red bowl, (Colors of Brahma).
Thailand or Laos, late 17th, early 18th century.
Delivered with its white or black steel base, adjustable chofa inclination.
