    The House of Alphonse Giroux, “the merchant to the princes,” was a leading Parisian manufacturer of luxury furniture and accessories, whose products were intended for an aristocratic and bourgeois clientele. The firm was established in 1799 at 7 Rue du Coq Saint-Honoré, and later moved to Boulevard des Capucines.
