Louis XVI style headboard and footboard in gray-white painted carved wood, stamped from a Parisian workshop rue de Douilly n°14, Paris.

The sculpted frame presents the canonical elements of the Louis XVI vocabulary: fluted uprights, blocks decorated with oval medallions, acanthus leaf capitals, fluted tapered legs and oval friezes. The silhouette of the softened pointed arch panels is characteristic of duchess beds from the end of the 18th century. The panels are reupholstered in royal blue wool, bordered with a double row of patinated bronze upholstery nails. The fabric is visibly new. The paint shows slight wear at the edges, consistent with the age of the wood. The whole is in very good general condition. Reupholstery in a different fabric is possible on request by the seller's workshops. Dimensions: H. 133 cm, L. 150 cm. Compatible with box spring and mattress 190 x 140 cm. Weight: 50 kg.
