Vintage Design
Guy Lefevre was a French designer active from the 1960s to the 1980s. He was closely associated with Maison Jansen, for whom he designed tables, consoles, sideboards, and desks with a highly legible geometric design.
His style blends polished brass and chrome, orthogonal structures, glass, travertine, or lacquered tops, sometimes with touches of parchment or refined Asian influences. The proportions are precise, the joinery clean, with particular attention paid to profiles and edges. He also designed nesting tables and modular sets that have become classics of the “Jansen 70” style.
