This piece of furniture between two has a slightly recessed red marble top from the Pyrenees. The perimeter is composed of a corbin beak and a throat in solid walnut.
Below, a solid walnut belt has a drawer blending into it. A large groove molding adorns the front face of this element, releasing in the center a motif of flowers and foliage in relief, gilded on a granite background. On each side of this belt with drawers is profiled, in the lower part, two large volute consoles also lightly gilded. These elements are extended on a cutaway foot, ending in a pattern of carved acanthus leaves.
The door, in walnut veneer, is slightly arched. Its frame is made with miter cut in the perimeter and in wood of wire. The center of this sash is made of a four-sheet veneer and has a half-round applied molding with cutout and volute. An important motif representing a bouquet of flowers and foliage is very finely carved and lightly gilded as a reminder.
The lower part of this article is made of a cut-out crosspiece having the same relief pattern and the same cove molding as the upper part, the latter going to attenuate on curved volute feet.
Marrying the lines of the cabinet, the sides, also curved, have a belt in the upper part in the same style as the front and the same moldings in the lower part.
The interior of this mahogany furniture has two adjustable shelves on racks.
This piece of furniture is contrasted by parts of strong character and others totally refined. A wish of the cabinetmaker who realized more than a century ago a work of sculpture with finesse and requirement.
