This Parisian-designed buffet commode écritoire is an exceptional piece, combining functionality and aesthetics. Made of flamed mahogany, it opens with two doors generously molded with head and fruit pastilles, fitted with an authentic lock, revealing three English-style drawers in lemongrass with fillets. The cabinet's waistband features a molded drawer fitted with an original lock, whose hinged front folds down to reveal a writing desk. The latter is covered in black leather, decorated with a vignette and a central motif. The interior features three small drawers with turned wooden knobs. The plinth also conceals a drawer with shell molding and scrolls, adding a touch of refinement. The uprights feature scrolled capitals and other moldings. The ensemble rests on flat feet molded in the same spirit with oves and leaves. The top is in Carrara marble, with a double evolution edge, providing a luxurious, long-lasting finish. This piece is a perfect example of period craftsmanship, combining noble materials and sophisticated ornamental details. It embodies elegance and functionality, ideal for any refined interior.
