Richly carved sideboard - Henri II style in walnut
An important Henri II-style solid wood buffet with richly carved ornamentation.
The upper part opens with three doors, including a central glazed door with small panes, framed by turned colonnettes. The side doors are adorned with finely carved panels of plant motifs in relief. The mantel is crowned by a molded cornice adorned with carved motifs and two small fire pots.
The middle section forms a credenza with openwork gallery and serving tray, resting on elegantly turned columns.
The lower section features two drawers with bronze handles, surmounted by two doors with richly molded panels carved with cartouches and Renaissance motifs.
Very fine craftsmanship, with a well-balanced, structured decor typical of French Renaissance-inspired productions.
