Magnificent two-part walnut buffet.
The upper section opens with two double-paneled doors, each veneered and molded.
It features a beautiful molded cornice in a gendarme's hat shape, a fluted frieze on the crossbar, and a beaded medallion with a bursting flower motif.
The lower section opens with two doors and two drawers.
The crossbar is richly carved with scrolls, a crescent, and a fan of fluting.
The uprights are rounded and fluted, with false sleepers in the form of flat, fluted columns.
The legs are cabriole.
The ironwork is exquisite: long hinges with rings, keyhole escutcheons, drawer pulls, and original keys.
