Carved walnut Renaissance-style buffet / cabinet, French work from the late XIXᵉ century.
This piece of furniture features an elegant and richly ornate architecture, typical of the neo-Renaissance taste.
The upper part opens with a finely molded leaf, decorated in its center with a figure carved in high relief in a diamond-shaped frame. The uprights, panels and crosspieces are embellished with delicately carved foliage, rosettes and geometric motifs.
The belt reveals a drawer at the front, resting on four turned legs joined by a spacer shelf. The lower panel is carved in a diamond pattern, creating a harmonious whole.
The overhanging cornice and well-balanced proportions give this decorative piece of furniture a lot of character.
Suitable as a small cabinet, sideboard or decorative display case in a classical, Renaissance or eclectic interior.
