Description

A curved altar in molded and carved wood, lacquered and richly gilded, adorned with an elegant decoration of shells and foliate scrolls.

The ensemble includes its tabernacle, altarpiece, and steps, forming a harmonious liturgical unit. The altar retains its marble altar stone with a relic. The antependium opens at the rear with two molded doors for storing chasubles. This early 18th-century work comes from a chapel in the Grenoble region. It is in good condition despite the absence of the trumeau's canvas – some losses and minor damage. It is in three sections.
Dimensions: 285 cm high x 189 cm long x 90 cm deep.
Reference 839
