    Large mahogany veneered column console or sideboard with gilt bronze trim, opening with a drawer in the waist. Entirely made in Paris on blond oak, late Empire period.

    While the column model is a great classic of the Empire style, our console is a very fine model of its kind, with all the luxurious finishing touches that enthusiasts look for and that differentiate it from a common model: beautiful trim of finely chased bronzes gilded with mercury in matte and glossy - column rings. It is topped with a luxurious Turquin blue gray marble.

    An ideal piece of furniture for an entrance hall, as a sideboard in a dining room or as a console in a living room.

    Everything is Empire period: original marble, bronzes and, of course, thick sawn mahogany. A great classic of Empire furniture, elegantly proportioned and beautifully finished.

    Our console is in very good condition: original buffer varnish revived and repolished by our cabinetmaker. The bronzes have been cleaned and the mercury gilding slightly worn. The marble is in good condition and original (not shortened at the back, so it can protrude if the console is placed against a plinth). The rear jambs are rabbeted, and the console can be fitted with a mirror on request. Please consult us.
