Louis XV black lacquered chiffonier with 8 drawers and marble top.
Elegant and large Louis XV chiffonier is a work of the second half of the 18th century, opening on the front with 8 drawers of the same size, the front uprights are rounded and rest on small curved feet, the low crosspiece at the front is nicely scalloped, the sides of the cabinet are two-panel with molded crosspieces, the top is topped with a thick gray marble veined with white molded with a large quarter-round fillet, this marble seems to be the original one.
Built in beech, walnut and oak, this piece of furniture benefits from a black lacquered finish which gives it a lot of elegance, a sober whole the facade is enriched with 8 entrances in gilded bronze.
The mixture of beech, oak and walnut woods directs the manufacture of this piece of furniture to production in Ile de France.
For the drawers, they are made of beech and oak and are assembled with dovetails, the bottoms are nailed from below, we note that the woods are cut quite finely.
This piece of furniture is in good condition, there are no splices on the base, all the locks are posterior, there are 2 keys for all the drawers, these 2 keys have a bronze head, the drawers slide well, the keyholes have their original gilding with wear and the marble is in good condition.
