Sumptuous Louis XVI-style mahogany and maple fleck marquetry chest of drawers, made in the mid-20th century. Crowned with grey Breche marble, this chest with two large drawers is decorated on the front with a Greek urn adorned with flowers. This light wood marquetry is enhanced by maple flecking, itself framed by a mahogany veneer. The two drawers each have two ring handles with rosettes. The two uprights are embellished at the top with chased bronze fittings. The lower crosspiece is adorned with bronze foliate trim. Its slender spindle-shaped legs end in brass sabots.
This functional chest of drawers will seduce you with its decorative richness, typical of the Louis XVI style, and will add cachet to your interior, whether classic or contemporary.
