    Marble top with an inverted cavetto molding and a corbelled edge.
    Curved front and sides, frames and fillets with beaded egg-and-dart friezes, acanthus leaves in the spandrels.
    It opens with two drawers inlaid with lozenges: one curved (upper), the other convex (lower).
    Keyhole escutcheons decorated with sphinxes, drop drawer pulls with flowers, scrolls, and interlacing patterns.
    Wide front uprights with female masks, foliage, and flaming urns.
    Side panels with spiral flowers, rear uprights with stepped molding.
    The four feet are closed and scrolled sabots.
    Oak frame, screwed bronze mounts, high-quality chasing.
    Compare to royal commodes of the Regency period (Cressent, Gaudreau, Doirat).
