Veneer Saute Dresser, Transition style.
Its Top is a sumptuous 3cm thick marble, in the Sienna tone with white veining. It presents a recess marrying the movement of the commode, with projection and groove on its periphery.
The central part of the projecting Façade of the Commode is made up of two large hidden Cross Drawers of identical depth, the interior of which is in Oak. These two Drawers are provided with a Bronze Lock Entrance, the first being dummy, only the lower one with its Key locks the two openings. They are provided on each side, with Bronze Pull Handles. These drawers, composed of Rosewood and Violetwood arranged in Butterfly Wings, feature Greek-style framing nets. The Sides of this Furniture are not to be neglected either because the wood is arranged in the same way as in the Front.
This chest of drawers is supported by four legs, the front ones of which have a cutaway ending in a crowbar. There is a Bronze Chute in the upper part as well as on the hump of the Foot, and a Hoof in the lower part. The cutaway is garnished with two fillets wrapped in Light Wood and Amaranth.
Note the inscription "Le Grand Trianon" under the marble as well as a stamp on the wood under the marble representing a golden Fleur de Lys.
This elegant chest of drawers with reasonable dimensions will be invited into an interior designed with taste, and where the quality of its marquetry will be noticed.
