    Elegant chest of drawers of Transition style in rosewood, rosewood and mahogany marquetry, decorated with a frieze of interlacing flowers and cubes, the sides of concave form, front with double projection decorated with a flowered basket and ribboned bow, opening with three drawers, two of which without crossbar, draw handles in the form of laurel wreaths and entries of lock surmounted by gilded and engraved bronze ribbons. Mounts with cut sides decorated with ormolu trimmings representing pilasters supporting garlands, resting on sheath feet ringed and finished with bronze clogs, crossbar decorated with a bronze apron. Top in molded white marble with gray veins. High quality work, stamped Daidef, circa 1900.
