Louis XV Marquetry Secretary Desk – Gallant Scene – Gilt Bronze

An elegant Louis XV style secretary desk crafted from precious woods, richly adorned with fine marquetry depicting a gallant scene within a central medallion.

The exquisitely delicate decoration features figures in a wooded landscape, typical of the refined taste of the 18th century.

The desk has a curved front with several drawers and is embellished with superb chased and gilt bronze mounts: corner mounts, keyhole escutcheons, handles, and feet.

The cabriole legs emphasize the slender lines and balanced proportions.

A decorative and functional piece, ideal for a classic interior, a cabinet of curiosities, or a beautiful reception room.
