Louis XVI-Directoire style folding games table, in solid mahogany, early 19th century.
Rectangular tray that unfolds to reveal a square surface measuring 82 × 82 cm, lined with turquoise felt bordered with gold braid with a wave pattern. The four interior corners of the game board have quarter-circle cutouts characteristic of this type of furniture. Four tapered legs with a square section, typical of the neoclassical repertoire, resting on patinated brass shoes. Opening mechanism provided by central brass hinges. Original red-brown patina, with superficial signs of wear on the closed top, indicating authentic use. Closed dimensions: H. 73 cm, L. 82 cm. Weight: 30 kg. Used condition, cleaning to be carried out.
