Beautiful bouillotte table, complete with its vintage cap.
This small multipurpose pedestal table is in two tones of mahogany, light mahogany for the base and crosspieces and speckled mahogany veneer for the belt.
The frame is exclusively in walnut, just like the drawers.
Like the beautiful Parisian productions, the belt is adorned with beautiful baguettes with rows of heart stripes in gilded bronze.
Cylindrical in shape, this coffee table rests on 4 tapered and finely fluted legs, with a large number of sheathed flutes, the belt decorated with its beautiful bronze frames is therefore veneered in speckled mahogany, creating a nice contrast, it opens with 2 drawers with small pull rings and 2 zippers made entirely of solid wood that can be handled using two small rings. The mass heads or connection dice are dark with smooth, non-streaked brass plates.
The top is covered with a walnut floor thinned on the edge covered with a marble slab surrounded by an openwork bronze gallery.
The set is entirely period and without transformation, we note a slightly curved foot as well as some small old restorations, however this table is in a very good state of conservation, the leather of the cork shows wear as well as the gilding on the mercury which is original, the felt has discolorations, there is no mark of old caster below the feet, the openwork gallery is the original one, we can see the many fittings as well as the marks of files in order to complete the forms, it was originally gilded as some traces still testify, the marble which is a Sainte-Anne gray is formerly broken and broached,
This hot water bottle table is a beautiful model from the Louis XVI period. The hot water tables with the name of the game were therefore used to play, on the felt side of the stopper, to write on the leather side and to have a snack on the marble as with the cabaret tables.
