Very beautiful library-showcase from the Art Nouveau period, Nancy school. This bookcase is made of veneer wood in perfect condition, light in color. The decor is inlaid with ivy and the top of the bookcase is very elaborate with openwork scrolls.
The piece of furniture includes 5 shelves and an interior drawer at the bottom in the central part. There is also a niche above the central door. In addition to the plant motif, the piece of furniture finds its Art Nouveau style with the small right part, made of two small shelves and 3 drawers. We will also notice the bottom of the piece of furniture where we find ivy motifs in sculpture.
This bookcase is a magnificent object typical of the Art Nouveau era.
Note that this bookcase comes from the East of France from a house which included other objects of the same motif: a 140 bed, two bedside tables, a dressing table and a broken duchess, all currently being restored in our workshop .
