Rare solid walnut desk, molded and carved with inlaid decoration.
It opens with a drawer in the waistband, the whiplash base is composed of a solid curved upright over the entire height, crossed by two interlocking uprights, a lower crosspiece and a spacer, the top features a leatherette surrounded by a stylized flower and stem decoration in marquetry, as well as four mail holders with rounded cut-outs and an inkwell holder.
The upper part is decorated with a cartouche delimited by inlaid woody stems, and features a lake landscape with remarkable cut-outs. It is enhanced by a console supported by two curved uprights.
Gilt bronze handle, leather replaced and patinated by us.
