Its top reveals an exceptional work of marquetry or rosewood, rosewood and indigenous wood restores a magnificent central floral decoration animated on the belt of frames covered with acanthus leaves.
It is surrounded by a gadrooned ingot mold in gilded bronze.
Its eventful belt is fitted with a lockable drawer.
Its four curved legs are enriched with angles at the top connected by fretted crosspieces and resting on lions' claw hooves.

The flat desk appeared in the Regency period. It succeeds the Louis XIV office in Boulle and the Louis XIII offices with chests.
