    This small Empire-style writing table in mahogany is an exceptional piece combining refinement and craftsmanship. Its rectangular top is upholstered in deep green leather, delicately adorned with cold-pressed vignettes of flowers, adding a touch of delicacy to the overall charm. The desk opens onto a waisted drawer, whose speckled mahogany front features a functional lock with key. The finely worked, chased bronze keyhole features two phytomorphic cherubs holding a lyre, a symbol of elegance and harmony. The furniture's beltline is enhanced by elaborate bronzes depicting torches accompanied by wreaths of flowers, as well as palmettes and volutes, evoking the noble aesthetics of the Neoclassical style. The curved legs are enhanced by cascading acanthus waterfalls and decorated with bronze palmettes at the bottom, giving the piece a majestic allure.
