Magnificent Sloping Desk from the Louis XV period, entirely in Violet Wood Veneer, with curved structure on all sides.
It consists of a Top veneered in Deployed then an inclined plane with slightly turbulent edges, embellished in its center with a veneer in Butterfly Wings, as on its "rear". This flap, once unfolded, is retained in its horizontal position by two Iron Compasses. The writing area thus available is furnished with a current Pretty Red Leather, embellished with a central vignette, corner finials, and friezes, all gold leaf.
The Interior offers a multitude of Niches, Hatch, and Drawers in various sizes. The latter, arranged in Gradient, present elegant facades with curved cutouts. They are equipped with Rosette pull buttons, in Brass. Note the presence of a System concealed in the right sash opening, thus enabling the Lid (non-removable) of the secret hiding place to be operated.
Below, this Cabinet offers a Pair of small drawers, then a large one along the entire length.
It should be noted that the four main Doors of this Office are locked and are provided with Original Lock Entries, accompanied by their added Keys. The interiors and sides of the Storage Unit are in Oak.
This Period Property has a Cutout crosspiece that harmonizes Perfectly with the four Arched feet. These end with Bronze Clogs.
This Slope Office, easily approaching its Three Centuries of History, can be thanked for its Refined allure and exceptional Factory Work. In addition, by its four worked sides, it can be installed predominantly, in the middle of a room.
