Modular stereo-phono-radio produced by Brionvega in the 1960s. Designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, the RR126 model features a central structure integrating a turntable, radio, and amplifier, framed by two detachable speakers with perforated fronts. The unit rests on a black lacquered metal base with casters. The cabinet is made of veneered wood.
The design reflects a functional logic specific to the post-war Italian modernist movement, with an emphasis on the mobility and autonomy of the sound elements. A model preserved at MoMA in New York.
