Large conference lectern in solid oak in the Louis XIII style. This atypical piece of furniture has an inclined side with a large molded strip, acting as a stop, to place and stabilize the books or documents needed by the speaker.
The center of this sloping panel is equipped with an imposing square opening revealing a large functional storage space of 100 cm wide.
Surrounding the top of this furniture, the ends are scalloped in the neo-gothic style.
This large desk has a wide belt abundantly carved with floral decorations. Scrolls and scrolls of acanthus leaves, on a granite background, are formed in very pronounced relief.
The ensemble rests on four twisted legs with a scalloped level at the bottom resting on molded crosspieces, carved only at the front and back.

This important Louis XIII desk is a rare piece of furniture because of its ornaments and its large size.
