This beautiful Louis XIV writing table is made of fruitwood, except for the drawer that opens at the waist, which is made of oak. It rests on four turned baluster-shaped uprights ending in balls, connected by an H-shaped brace that is also turned. The color of its patina is warm, and the quality of the wood, chosen with care by the carpenter who made it, has enabled this table to age well and come to us in excellent condition. A few minor restorations are to be noted.
Late 17th or early 18th century.
Dimensions : Top 96 cm x 70 cm, height 70 cm.
