Rosewood and violetwood marquetry coffee table, 18th century production, late Louis XV period circa 1760.
Beautifully curved form perched on high legs; the table is called a chiffonnière with 3 small drawers. A very fine, graceful model. Our table was originally a small occasional table, a flying piece of furniture that can be easily moved from room to room as needed. It is also ideal as a refined bedside table.
It is in very good condition, with old varnish cleaned by our cabinetmaker. No damage or missing veneer. A few cracks. Bronze inserts.
