Maison Lecan presents this pair of modernist nesting tables from the 1950s, made of metal and black glass, in the spirit of Jacques Adnet’s designs.
The design is simple and elegant: black glass tops edged with metal, resting on X-shaped legs as slender as pencil strokes. At the intersection of the legs, a small brass flower serves as an eye-catching detail.
The painted metal has developed a beautiful patina with golden highlights. The central flower is missing from one side of the large table. The glass shows fine, subtle scratches from use.
Whether used as an end table, a nightstand, or a side table next to an armchair, they nest one inside the other when not in use.
